My Writing Improvement Reflection

My Writing Improvement Reflection
I have always liked to write, especially stories. I feel like I can describe my feelings, adventures, inquiries & thoughts with an audience. It’s better when you write about what is going on rather than talk about it in person & you don’t know how to start. I don’t really like writing research papers or boring essays, I’ll rather write a journal entry full of excitement. Writing has helped me released stress.
At the beginning of the year my writing was not great. My writing lack organization I had plenty of ideas to talk about but they were all over the place. My paragraphs jumped from one idea to another making it hard to understand. For example, I could be talking about a memory but then I would jump in with a different idea which it didn’t make sense. When I write I had a tendency of using words that were too “wordy”. My biggest weakness was runoff sentences, my paragraphs did not look like paragraphs they looked like a whole big paragraph that did not show a beginning or an end. Sentence fragments hunted my writing they appear with frequency in my writing producing informational gaps.
Throughout, the year I worked hard to improve my writing. In Mrs. LG’s class I practice writing different types of essays. Along the lines my writing was becoming to take shape for a good. My stories were the prove; they had organization which prevented the jumping ideas. Now, when I begin to write about an idea or event I stay on that path until I’m finished explaining it. My word bank had a bigger variety of words which I could use appropriately. My stories, essays, or other types of writing were no longer holded back by sentence fragments. The sentences had a beginning as well as an end. The paragraphs were runoff sentences free. My grammar is much better, which gaved my writing a more personalized and appropriate sense.
