I have decided to go to HBU. Houston Baptist University is nearby home & in the Houston area. Is in-state so it will be much cheaper than going out of state. I like a small school. HBU is a private school in an Urban area.
What are the requirements to apply to HBU?. The STA/ACT scores are really important, a good high school peformance, the admission application, a high school transcript, & any scholarship information. HBU classes have less thna 20 students & are teached by the faculty which is really confortable. Based on academics students must complete a total of 80 community life & workship credits by which can be earned 20 credits per semester. HBU offers a variety of clubs as well as student organizations. The nursing student association (NSA) has caught my attention which I'm really interested to join, so I could be able to explore more about my major.
My major will be nursing, I decided to select this major because I feel it promotes dedication, care & participation with the community. A nursing major creates a leadership role which can help me grow both as a person & as a healthcare contributor. I have in mind to become an Ultrasound Techinician, I love babies. The development of the most wonderful miracle in life has almost caught my attention. The stages of the transformation are amazing beginning with the egg later on the fetus and little by little the baby begins to become a human baby. A second option on the list could be to become a doctor.
Freshman are required to live in campus but theres some exeptions like students who have completed a total of 96 credits, are married, graduate students, part-time students or students still living with their parents are not required to live on campus. College life will be hard which means I will have to work to the fullest in order to succeed. I'm planning to go to HBU for 4 years to major in nursing & become a doctor or an Ultrasound Techinician. I will go to school as well as work so I could save money to pay college. The financial aid will help too for my college expenses.
